This workshop series is for incoming freshman at Monta Vista: The 9th Grade Biology Preview, taught by high-performing Biology students. Consisting of 7 sessions and a student panel discussing each teacher’s unique class styles at the end, these workshops are offered to give soon to be high schoolers an overview of the 9th grade Biology course in order to ease the stress most people have when entering high school, as well as boosting one’s knowledge of the subject to decrease the amount one has to learn during the school year. Biology is a fascinating and complex field and it shouldn’t have to give a student anxiety or stress, thus having the knowledge and confidence going into high school will greatly reduce any feelings of anxiety or stress and drastically improve one’s overall mental health.

Supporting our Local Hospitals Battling COVID-19
In these challenging times, we've decided to offer our summer workshops online this year and we will donate the proceeds to hospitals on the front lines battling the COVID-19 crisis. |
Expert Instructors
Almost all of our instructors are high schoolers who are alumni of the Kennedy Science Olympiad team and have competed at the Science Olympiad National Tournament. We're excited to share our passion for science with younger students through these workshops. |
