STEMBoost ​Robotics

About

We are a student-run robotics group that creates and maintains FIRST robotics teams in their FLL (FIRST LEGO League) and FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) programs. Founded in 1989, FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology) prides itself on its leadership in scientific fields and its commitment to building a strong foundation for the country’s future workforce. FLL Challenge 2021-22 Season

We’re looking to form an FLL Challenge team for the Cargo Connect season. You can view the teaser here, and you can find all the information from FIRST here.

All 4th-8th graders are welcome, no STEM experience necessary.

Regular season: August to November
Estimated time commitment: 4 hours per week
Estimated cost: $500-1000 per team (registration fees and parts, corporate funding may be available)
Target team size: 4-6

FTC Challenge 2021-22 Season

We’re looking to expand our existing FTC team. You can find all the information from FIRST here.

We’re looking for 8th to 11th graders who love building or making things (robot building, CAD, programming, etc).

Regular season: September to February
Estimated time commitment: 6 hours per week
Estimated cost: $500-1000 per team (registration fees and parts, corporate funding may be available)
Target team size: 5-8
