About STEMBoost
STEMBoost is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2017 by a group of students committed to expanding access to STEAM and interdisciplinary opportunities for youth and communities.
Through experiential and interdisciplinary initiatives, STEMBoost brings together science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and the social sciences to address meaningful, real-world challenges. Our work emphasizes inclusion, applied problem-solving, and engagement across disciplines, reflecting the evolving needs of society in the age of AI.

Where We Are Headed
As STEMBoost continues to grow, we are focused on extending interdisciplinary initiatives that integrate STEAM, the social sciences, and civic perspectives to address real-world challenges. Our work increasingly emphasizes experiential engagement, community relevance, and responsible innovation. By remaining adaptable and mission-driven, STEMBoost aims to serve youth and communities through programs that respond to evolving societal, technological, and environmental needs.
Our Roots
STEMBoost’s early roots are closely connected to Science Olympiad. Many of our founding members and mentors were former competitors and coaches on high-performing teams at the regional, state, and national levels.
These formative experiences helped shape STEMBoost’s strong foundation in problem-solving, teamwork, and technical rigor, and informed its early outreach efforts. As STEMBoost has grown, our work has expanded beyond competitive formats to encompass broader interdisciplinary and community-focused initiatives, while continuing to be guided by the values developed during those early years.

Community & Reach
In 2022, STEMBoost expanded its community and international engagement efforts to broaden its reach beyond Silicon Valley. Through these initiatives, STEMBoost works to engage historically underserved communities locally and globally.
